Toni-Ann Singh – a queen, a star, and a perfect role model!

Toni Ann Singh, who has made history as one of the longest-reigning queens, recently handed over her crown and responsibilities to her successor Karolina Bielawska of Poland. However, her remarkable journey is worth yet another peek!

The beauty who stole hearts with her melodious voice and personality at the grand finale of Miss World 2019 had a perfect wrap to her reign when she sang ‘The Prayer’, expressing her support for Ukraine. The audience, judges and finalists held up candles as Toni performed her rendition of the song.

Recently during an interview on being asked what gave her an edge over other competitors, the queen had a humbling response. She answered, “Being Miss World or having any title at all is a wonderful thing. But a lot of times, we can get lost in that. I was Toni-Ann, and I was true to what I was taught, which is gratefulness, which is joy, to love, compassion, and not taking life too seriously, and I brought that there, and I have maintained that – I’m still Toni-Ann.”

Even amid COVID, the stunning beauty was busy managing her crown duties, meeting with government officials from all over the world and learning about their contribution towards the Beauty With A Purpose projects in their respective countries, in addition to all the other causes that needed tending to.

Further sharing her invaluable experiences, she said, “Being able to fly and to see how many hours it takes to get to these countries and see how many lives are being led, different stories are occurring everywhere every minute, I just realised that the world is so big, so vast, and it’s up to us to take care of it, to take care of each other and to also explore it. I can’t get over that. I love that Miss World and Beauty With A Purpose allow me a chance to do so while making a pretty large impact in so many countries.”

As she continues her journey with experiences and memories of a lifetime, Toni-Ann says she is ‘wiser, older, and just ready now to take the world.’ With several opportunities knocking at her door, the queen wishes to make the right choices while also making room for her passion for singing.
