Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump released a campaign video outlining his vision for saving American education and giving “control of schools back to parents.”

Describing leftist educators who push radical material on children of inappropriate ages as “pink-haired communists,” Trump carefully lays out his campaign platform on education.

In the video, the former President promises to cut federal funding for schools that push critical race theory or extreme gender ideology on their students.

Trump also calls for an Education Department civil rights investigation into race-based discrimination and an ‘aggressive’ pursuit of freedom of religion violations in schools.

Trump Plans to Give Parents More Power Over Their Kids’ Education

Former President Donald Trump, in his latest campaign video, pledges to find “the radical zealots and Marxists” working in the Department of Education and root them out.

“Joe Biden has given these lunatics unchecked power,” Trump claimed. “I will have them fired and escorted from the building.”

He also vows to keep biological men out of women’s sports.

Perhaps most importantly, his education platform puts the power back into the hands of parents.

Trump states he will implement preferential funding policies for schools that adopt a parental bill of rights that includes “complete curriculum transparency.”

The funding would also benefit schools that “implement the direct election of school principals by the parents.”

“It’s all about the parents for their children,” he declared.

On Restoring Public Safety

Trump, also on Friday, released a video condemning the violent protests in Atlanta and the “Marxist prosecutors” who he predicts will fail to punish those who are responsible.

“The rioters who attack our wonderful police officers and destroy so many lives must be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” he insisted.

“If Marxist prosecutors betray their oaths and refuse to protect our citizens, President Trump will send in federal law enforcement to restore peace and public safety,” he added. “President Trump will restore law and order in America.”

Trump has already produced campaign videos championed by conservatives, one demanding Congress investigate the FBI’s role in using Twitter to control information and sway elections, another announcing a free speech policy platform that seeks to ‘dismantle and destroy’ left-wing censorship.

He has been vehemently opposed to escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia and even offered to negotiate a peace deal.

All of these are reasonable and well-liked policies and platforms, yet some Republicans will consider running scared from the former President because he frightens their sensibilities.

The Republican frontrunner announced his third campaign for President in November. Thus far, he is the only official candidate.

President Biden is expected to announce at some point, though his classified document scandal put the brakes on those plans for just after Christmas.

A new Harvard Caps Harris survey conducted between January 18th and 19th shows that in a hypothetical matchup between Trump and President Biden, he comes out on top, 46% to 41%.
