Whatsapp started the distribution phase of a new feature called Message Yourself which, as the name suggests, allows users to send messages to yourself. Available soon on iOS and Android, the feature has been tested in beta for the past few weeks and is now considered ready to roll out to the mass audience.
Message Yourself recalls a possibility that we have already seen on other messaging clients, such as Telegram (where it was available since the launch of the first release). It allows you to send messages within a chat visible only to the user himself, using it to write important notes, save links to web pages to visit later, upload documents or even send voice notes.

The first public tests of the Messagge Yourself feature date back to October, while now Meta has confirmed a TechCrunch its coming soon to all iOS and Android clients. Until today, on WhatsApp, anyone who wanted to send a message visible only to itself he would have to create a group with other users, then remove them and remain alone in the group.
Once the function has been received on his client (in ours it has not yet appeared, a signal that the roll-out has yet to be completed) the user can also “pin” the chat at the top, just like any other conversation screen on the service. In this way, you will have the possibility to access your private notes by always finding them at the top of the conversations list, so you don’t have to search for them among the other chats in the client.
