Hulu has dropped the official Big Bet trailer for its latest crime drama series. It is set around the largest casino in the Philippines involving a crime lord and a South Korean cop, respectively portrayed by Choi Min-sik of Oldboy fame and Sense8 actor Son Suk-ku.

The video shows a casino mogul who flees to another country in an attempt to escape tax investigations. There, he once again runs a casino empire where he’s now able to manipulate politicians and other powerful people in power into doing his bidding. However, his business gets interrupted when he becomes a suspect in a murder case, leading him to be hunted down by a South Korean cop who has been dispatched to the Philippines.

Big Bet is directed by Kang Yoon-sung. It stars Choi Min-sik (I Saw the Devil), Son Suk-ku (My Liberation Notes), Lee Dong-hwi (Extreme Job), Heo Sung-tae (Squid Game), Kim Joo-ryoung (Squid Game), Kim Roi-ha (Memories of Murder), Jin Seon-kyu (The Outlaws) and more.

“Cha Moosik runs a casino bar, only to flee to the Philippines due to a crackdown by the National Tax Service,” reads the synopsis. “He launches a full-fledged casino business, and strategizes winning over the political and business circles in the Philippines. However, he is suddenly framed as a suspect in Min Seokjun’s death, and is tracked by Oh Seunghoon of the Korean Desk. Betrayal is rampant in the presence of money. Who will be the last person standing?”
