The K-Pop supergroup BTS’ lead dancer J-Hope has made history as he became the first ever Korean artist to headline at a major American music festival.

On June 8th, Lollapalooza official handle tweeted, “We are thrilled to announce #Jhope of @bts_bighit will headline #Lolla 2022 on Sun, July 31st! His performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival. Get tickets now:…”

J-Hope was quick to share the announcement on his personal Instagram handle. “This is going to be my first performance at @lollapalooza It’s a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history! I’m gonna give you guys a great show. Get ready to get crazyyyyyy!”, he wrote in the caption.

The group’s youngest, Jungkook couldn’t contain his excitement and commented on his fellow band mate’s post; “쟈홉 가쟈아아아아아아아아!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” which translates to “Let’s go jaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!”

J-Hope is all set to perform an hour long set on Sunday July 31st, at the Lollapalooza. Fans will be able to watch him in person or via the official live stream on YouTube.

Meanwhile BTS are busy preparing for their comeback due n June 10 as well as their 9th anniversary celebration on June 13th.
