Donnie Yen recently starred in John Wick: Chapter 4 as the blind hitman Caine, and following the massive success of the film, said he wouldn’t mind stepping back into the role.

Speaking to Variety, Yen was asked about the possibility of a John Wick spin-off and said that he would “love” to do it, although he did note that it’s unclear whether it’ll ever happen, due to the nature of Hollywood.

“I’d love to do a John Wick spin-off centered around Caine,” Yen said, before joking that “there’s always ‘talks’ in Hollywood.”

ComingSoon spoiler alert

Yen’s role as Caine is one of the many bright spots that fans took from the recently released film. In the film, Caine is contracted by the High Table to kill John Wick, his friend, in order to protect himself and his daughter.

By the end of the film, Caine had earned his freedom and was seen in a post-credits scene going to see his daughter, before being seemingly attacked by Akira (Rina Sawayama), the daughter of Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada), who Caine had killed earlier in the film.

Although no spin-off starring Caine has been greenlit as of yet, the world of John Wick is continuing to grow. A spin-off film titled Ballerina starring Ana de Armas is already in production, as is a television series named The Continental, which is set to appear on Peacock in the future.
