Healthcare Design announced the winners and finalists of its 2022 Healthcare Design Showcase awards program, now in its 22nd year of honoring the best design and architecture in the healthcare industry.

Sixteen jurors appointed by our partner organizations (The Center for Health Design, IIDA, and ASID) evaluated this year’s project submissions.

Here’s a look at this year’s winners and finalists:

Award of Merit

NewYork-Presbyterian: Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (Brooklyn, N.Y.), submitted by Perkins Eastman

Waldkliniken Eisenberg (Eisenberg, Thüringen, Germany), submitted by HDR and Matteo Thun & Partners

 

Honorable Mention

Emory Executive Park Musculoskeletal Institute (Atlanta), submitted by HKS, Brasfield & Gorrie, and Structor Group

Munroe-Meyer Institute (Omaha, Neb.), submitted by Altus Architectural Studios Inc.

Sarasota Memorial Hospital–Venice (Venice, Fla.), submitted by Flad Architects

 

Finalists

The Pavilion at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), submitted by HDR and PENNFirst

Sheppard Pratt Washington/Baltimore Campus (Elkridge, Md.), submitted by CannonDesign

Trinity Health Mercy Muskegon – Hospital Expansion (Muskegon, Mich.), submitted by HGA

 

The Award of Merit and Honorable Mention award winners will be recognized during an awards ceremony at the annual HCD Conference + Expo, Oct. 8-11, in San Antonio, during a special luncheon that will be open to all attendees. All accepted projects will be published in the August 2022 issue of Healthcare Design.
