Increase in the number of candidates for engineering courses
Let us inform that a total of 935741 students took part in the JEE Main examination held in the month of April, while a total of 929198 students had registered in the examination held in the January session this year. In the April session, an increase of 6,543 candidates was registered for engineering courses. However, an exact reverse trend was observed in architecture courses, where the number of registered candidates fell from 1,80,052 in January to 1,69,767 in April, with 10,285 students registered.

Physics section difficult in JEE Main exam
At the same time, there has been a mixed reaction of the students regarding the JEE Main exam. According to the students, the Physics section was quite tough in the exam. Whereas chemistry was described as an easy section by students across the country. At the same time, experts believe that the paper should be considered above easy. Ramesh Baitlik, center head of FIITJEE, an organization that prepares for engineering entrance examinations in Noida, believes that the toughest paper in all the three sections was Maths, followed by Chemistry.
Merit cut-off will be released for admission in IITs
Students will be admitted to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and even private engineering and architecture courses on the basis of JEE Main exam scores. A cut-off merit will also be issued for the admission of students to IITs. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has started the facility for candidates to make category corrections in their application form and apply for reservation quota for candidates belonging to economically weaker sections.
