OPINION:
Tent cities put the health, safety and welfare of communities at risk (“As shelters fill, NYC weighs tents to house migrants,” Web, Sept. 23). And if Democrats remain in power, there is no end in sight, given President Biden’s disastrous open-border policy. But if New Yorkers are mad enough, they can start changing things by booting out Gov. Kathy Hochul in November.
New York has not seen a Republican governor since George Petaki served from 1995 to 2006. If a red wave hits New York, Republican Lee Zeldin will become the 58th governor of New York. And may the wave continue all the way to the White House in 2024.
