Midnight Suns Season Pass Includes Deadpool, ‘Dr. Morbin’ Time,’ and More

Deadpool took over the Midnight Suns social channels in an effort to get himself in the game and it looks like that “campaign” has paid off. Firaxis Games revealed that Deadpool would be part of the game’s season pass alongside Venom, Storm, and Morbius, who was affectionately referred to as “Dr. Morbin’ Time” in the announcement trailer.

That Deadpool-focused trailer didn’t show any of them in the game, but did confirm that Deadpool would be the first hero to release when he comes out in early 2023. The others weren’t given release windows, but it seems as though Venom, Morbius, and Storm will release in that order according to the game’s website. That post also goes down the list of the 23 premium skins included in the season pass.

Venom has already been shown in cinematic trailers as a villain. This DLC, according to Lead Designer Joe Weinhoffer, will let players play through his redemption arc. Each of the downloadable characters will be seamlessly integrated into the campaign and have their own stories and missions.

These heroes were already revealed in a cheeky way, as Deadpool “leaked” concept art of Storm, Venom, and Morbius all over the last week. And since Firaxis had yet to reveal the lineup of post-launch characters promised in its season pass, it seemed likely that these four would be DLC.

Firaxis Games also held a livestream and spoke more about the game’s mechanics while showing them in action. It included some Ghost Rider gameplay, too, and a promise that the next stream will focus on the Abbey, the game’s hub that players visit between missions.
