Ranbir Kapoor reveals he is ‘excited’ and ‘privileged’ to be a part of Brahmastra’; says he ‘had opportunity to create our own Marvel’ | Hindi Movie News

Fans are eagerly waiting for Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus ‘Brahmastra’ which will bring together Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the first time on screen.

In a new interview with a news portal, Ranbir opened up about his experience and excitement of being a part of the fantasy adventure film. According to the actor, it’s deep-rooted in Indian culture, and they had the opportunity to create their own Marvel, which Ayan is trying to do with his Astraverse. Ranbir also stated that any film, any good compelling story, made in your culture, in an authentic way, in a true form, will connect to a large audience.

Elaborating further, Ranbir added that Alia and he used to sit and daydream about this film with Ayan and they were also being soldiers to him. He said that they are three best friends and are ‘really excited and really privileged’ to be part of ‘Brahmastra’.

Spilling some more beans on the three-part fantasy epic, Ranbir also went on to say that it is not an end in itself, but it’s a means to a larger end. The film has three parts and they also have the potential to take the storytelling in many diverse directions.

Apart from Ranbir and Alia, ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film is slated for release on September 9, 2022 in five Indian languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
