Why: Decentralized media company Rug Radio is venturing into the world of PFPs with its anticipated large-scale collection “Faces of Web3.” Helmed by prominent collector/builder Farokh, Rug Radio has gained significant traction over the last year as a purveyor of digitally native content. It has now teamed up with celebrated Web3 artist Cory Van Lew for this latest endeavor.

Crypto Art Monograph #2

What: Two Open Editions

Why: As part of The NFT Magazine‘s ongoing Crypto Art Monograph series, renowned curator Ronnie K. Pirovino has tapped multidisciplinary artist Joshua Davis (Praystation) for an exclusive drop on Nifty Gateway. As part of the evolving Monograph venture, the drop will feature two NFTs, each of which speaks to The NFT Mag‘s endeavors to narrate and “timestamp” the evolution of crypto art over time.

Why: Prominent Web3 music artist Spottie WiFi returns to Sound with a new single entitled “The King’s Alpha.” Said to be the intro and title track of his forthcoming sophomore album dropping in March, this new song features none other than Snoop Dogg and builds upon the sonic landscape Spottie has been crafting since his debut album “I’m Spottie.”

PleasrHouse Charity Auction

What: Auction and NFT open edition

Why: For the second episode of the live, interactive art auction show PleasrHouse, PleasrDAO has invited Atsuko Sato and her dog Kabosu — the Shiba Inu from the historic Doge memes and coin — to help curate a charitable auction. The 17-year-old dog, who has been diagnosed with leukemia and liver disease, will make a rare live appearance with Sato on the PleasrHouse live stream to auction off the original couch pictured in the iconic 2010 Doge photos, with proceeds from the auction going to Save The Children.

Why: Over the years, artist Nick Kuchar’s vintage-inspired surf and travel art style has been featured by influential brands like Patagonia, Hurley, and Hawaiian Airlines. Now venturing into Web3, Kuchar presents a large-scale PFP collection centered around photography and world travel.
