Priyanka Chopra, who is a global icon now, in her latest Instagram post wrote that “it was challenging to come from India and make America my second home, but my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends.” The actress, who recently launched her homeware line, in her post about the brand, wrote that it seeks inspiration from the Indian culture. Priyanka Chopra, the first South Asian woman to headline the cast of an American television show (Quantico), has also featured in many Hollywood projects, much recently in Matrix 4.

Sharing a post on the launch day, she wrote: “I couldn’t be more proud to introduce you all to Sona Home. It was challenging to come from India and make America my second home, but my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends. I bring a piece of India into everything I do and this is an extension of that thought. It’s awesome to be working alongside Maneesh Goyal and our entire team in creating something so dear to our hearts and heritage.” She added, “Indian culture is known for its hospitality, it’s all about community and bringing people together…and for me that is the ethos of Sona Home. From our table to yours, we hope that you experience our same love for hosting, community, family, and culture in your home.”

The actress also runs an Indian restaurant called Sona in New York. On the restaurant’s one year anniversary, Priyanka Chopra shared this post.

Sona isn’t Priyanka Chopra’s first project as an entrepreneur. She became a tech investor by bringing dating apple Bumble to India. The actress also launched her haircare brand called Anomaly Haircare recently. She also runs a production house along with her mom called Purple Pebble Pictures, which backs regional cinema.

Priyanka Chopra stepped into Hollywood with the 2017 movie Baywatch, in which she played the role of antagonist Victoria Leeds, co-starring Dwayne Johnson. Since then, Priyanka has starred in Hollywood projects such as Isn’t It Romantic, A Kid Like Jake, We Can Be Heroes and of course, Matrix 4.
